Can you TLDR how we are to survive? Increase home humidity?
You don't. Basically it kills a solid 1/6th of the global population and you need to know someone to get the vaccine right away.

Forgot recession car deals, imagine the global pandemic car deals.

I don't like to spend too much on depreciating assets, but I do wish there would be pandemic house deals so that I can afford to live in the greatest neighborhood in the world - Aspen.

Actually yes. After I finish my evening MBA over the next 10 years, my salary will quadruple due to my new found awesomeness; allowing me to buy a couple dozen acres 8 minutes west of Aspen where the new money truly belongs.

    China's mad love the Danes.

Germanys case was person to person contact from a visitor from Shanghai.

Repeat the Canadian health department mantra "Low transmissibility".

The first person to contract the virus in Germany reportedly got it from a “Chinese colleague” while the two were attending a work training session in the state of Bavaria one week ago, according to German state media outlet DW. The 33-year-old patient, who’s from the town of Starnberg, roughly 18 miles from Munich, was infected by a woman who had been in Wuhan recently to visit her parents. The man, an employee of car parts supplier Webasto, is in a “medically good state,” reports DW.
    "work training session" eh?

In Japan, a man in his 60s has also contracted the new coronavirus, according to Japanese news outlet NHK. The unnamed man has not recently traveled to China, but reportedly works as a tour bus driver and came in contact with tourists from Wuhan, the epicenter of the virus outbreak, at least twice this month.

Also, Taiwan has banned all travelers with Chinese passport, regardless of city of origin. No visitor/tourist visas will be permitted. So expect airlines to scramble to ban Chinese passport owners boarding flights to Taiwan unless they already have approved visa in hand (business is ok, student may not allow to go back until mid Feb).

HK has banned non commercial travel from China

Macau, which its leader is buddy of Xi and have direct line and doesn't have to clear with any bureaucrats, has acted the fastest to close the border and give Wuhan people choices of quarantine camp or leave Macau.

One of my clients once told me that we are just like everyone else until we can afford to fill up full service while wearing flip flops and shorts in -40 weather.

Oh boy tin foil hats (China and Canada) are going to town on this:

    https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/manit...hina-1.5307424

Several of them, who asked not to be identified for fears of retribution, say there have always been questions about Qiu's trips to China — and what information and technology she was sharing with researchers there.

"It's not right that she's a Canadian government employee providing details of top-secret work and know-how to set up a high-containment lab for a foreign nation," one employee said.

So based off this, there's a 64% mortality

Although WHO hasn't declared it a emergency there are numerous bulletins on their site providing guidance and information regarding the spread of the virus. The bulk of the infections and deaths are still located in China but there have been cases in more countries lately.

The thing to remember with all this is we are only 1 month into when info about the virus broke out. WHO was notified Dec 31st and thats when people started paying attention to it. SARS lasted 8 months, 8000 people were infected and 774 died.

So far Coronavirus has 2750 cases and 81 deaths approximately 6 weeks after the first case although there's been mixed info whether those numbers are actually accurate or being suppressed. China is definitely taking it seriously with the quarantines and shutting down a lot of large public venues so although the Virus may be more contagious than others it may be better contained that ones we've had in the past.
Think they would take a page from history with the Spanish Flu, probably could have had better prevention and recovery if the countries weren't scared to admit there was an issue, instead 100m+ people died

Although you never really know if it's as big a deal as they purport in to be, this is placebo good news to me since my son is going to be in Taiwan in 2 months.

    .
I think Taiwan situation is a little different. I don't think they are part of the WHO. I think its more of a funding issue on its health services. So it has to take extra precautions. But I could be wrong.

China got Taiwan excluded from WHO because they don't want to bend the knee.

Revised R0 (learned that from Contagion) is 3.11 today in China.

    One confirmed in Vancouver.
