I don't think it is, it has the potential to be far more impactful than the seasonal flu, spreads faster and can spread without symptoms being shown. It doesn’t help that people are actively masking symptoms so they can still travel and put others at risk

That's the fear - next week we will see how it spreads. This past week was direct from china cases, the spouses and close family are starting... Next week we should start seeing a few cases confirmed that are coming from the random contact / not washing hands types.

Whether health Canada will be transparent... Is another good question - their continued "low risk" will look pretty bad if it starts showing in the random populace.

So my cousin in vancouver is a dentist and they arent able to operate for very much longer because all the surgical masks for dentists have been sold. Which is why they are looking out here, I would of thought they would have a medical supplier though that would only sell to businesses....seems wierd.

LOL no we absolutely don’t, Canadian military is in no way shape or form capable to deal with something like this. This isn’t Hollywood.

We could easily load up a similar shitbox plane, take it to cold Lake - set up cots/tents in a hangar and give them a true quarantine (40days). There's 0 reason to leave Canadians.

First of all, the aircraft would have priority over a few hundred Canadians and secondly, the jet fuel fumes would kill them way before any flu would.

They do. The place I worked at only sold to credit approved dental offices, but we got them from distributors that sell to everyone. We also didn’t stock that many and would have weekly orders to replenish our stock. I’m pretty sure the stock was long gone as soon as the notice came out about this virus cause it’s not the first time this has happened.
