Have you explored the possibility of excess cortisol due to infection? That will drive sugars up as a secondary mechanism apart from Ingestion.

"The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents... some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new Dark Age."

A woman at my kid's daycare got long covid really bad. From what they've been able to share with us (with her permission) her functionality is pretty much what you'd expect from someone 20 years her senior. She can't be left alone to cook because she will forget what she just did or that the stove is hot(the brain fog is apparently pretty terrible). She's also doing therapy to help the brain process some motor functions in the sense that it takes a second or two for her brain to send the message to her hand to grab something or point etc. She's been coming in a few hours a month to be an extra in a room with the kids because it makes her happy but its pretty apparent she's not the same as she was before. I guess she's part of a gov of alberta study and there are a handful of people with similar long covid symptoms that are in a treatment program with her. Its sad to see because she is one of the favorites of both my kids. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I just tested positive yesterday. Started with a sore throat that came on quickly. Have a fever coming and going, weak, headache, low appetite, congestion, light headed. Self quarantining.
I got Delta back around Easter 2021, then I got jabbed 2x, and now seem to have caught Omicron and am symptomatic.
I got strep throat last week. It sucked. Didn’t die though so that’s good.
I just thought everyone should know.

Long covid is indeed a bit scary, but I bet you the majority of cases (not those severe ones mentioned here) will use long covid as a scapegoat of their poor life decisions of being a lazy unhealthy bum.
I had a headache, slight fever and sore throat/scratchy voice Saturday. I was dehydrated and super hungover. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I think I am going through long covid, but my doctor is apprehensive to call it that. It's at the very least bronchitis (my diagnosis). He sent me for ECG's, stress test, bloodworks, lung x-rays; thinking at first it was a heart issue. Everything comes back good. I don't smoke/drugs.
Shortness of breath for months, going on a year now. Intermittent dry cough what would sometimes come in fits, but humidifier overnight helped. I thought it was down to pandemic weight gain, but today I'm officially down 30lbs from last year Aug. Almost back at my soccer playing weight, but I still huff and puff after a flight of stairs, especially carrying the toddler.
Last few days have been really bad, some cold or something. Night time headache, coughing up lots of phlegm, very short of breath, I've noticed my autonomous breathing is shallow, scratchy voice. Test negative for all that's worth.
Had reservations at Longview Steakhouse for the wife and I for mothers day, but had to cancel because of feeling generally terrible. Tylenol actually helps with lung inflammation.
Hang in there @Maxt .
I finally got my third Vax.
If I didn't I was going to have to join a honking rally. How does time pass so quickly!
After getting Covid in January i have "long covid". my energy levels have been off, have trouble breathing etc... it is very mild at the end of the day but not what i was before getting covid. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Is long Covid the same thing as having a fat but?
Because I definitely have that

The best Korea calls it obscure febrile disease.
https://www.vice.com/en/article/7kbg...id-19-outbreakAn article, published Friday by the country’s international broadcasting service the Voice of Korea, revealed that an “obscure febrile disease has been explosively spread and expanded on a nationwide scale since late April, producing more than 350,000 persons in a fever in a short time.”
So they counted a million deaths due to Covid in the USA. USA got hit harder than most nations - probably because of obesity as a factor.
I mean, its a far cry from 5% of the population - but definitely worse than every flu since 1918.
Cocoa $8,000 per tonne.
My wife wanted to go walk around the university for some god awful reason today.
Full on depth of the pandemic here. Everyone wearing masks and scared to death.
Hilarious.
