Looks close though, 49/51 most likely. Kind of unfortunate as that means nothing will happen for 2+ years as the two sides just refuse to pass any legislation again. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

The betting sites have Biden at around -556 / 82% odds to win. Anything can happen still though and it might be days before all the Pennsylvania votes are counted but most of them are dem votes. Trump did get most of the states he needed as well which wasn't too surprising.
Apparently US intelligence has already thwarted Russian and Iranian attacks on the election.
Poor Bloomberg, donated $100M to Biden in Florida and they still lost it
The bigger issue will be that the GOP will probably still control the senate and Mitch got voted in again. As I said before the senate is arguably more important to control than the presidency - nothing is going to get done except by executive order if Biden wins haha.
Doesn't seem to be any actual source for this. Just the same images circulating twitter and people reposting it. There's differing comments of saying 'oh go check XYZ site' but when I did I can't find any other reference. Not to mention there's spikes like this in other states going the otherway. Look at Pennsylvania at 20%. Huge lead then boom giant spike and they are losing. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Biden looks screwed even if he wins
He also needed the Senate.
But Democrats may fail to realize widespread predictions of re-taking the chamber. That would mean whoever prevails in the presidential race, Mitch McConnell might remain in charge of the upper chamber, retaining his role as arguably the most consequential politician in Washington. In that case Biden would be the first president in 32 years to come into office without control of Congress, another dynamic that would weaken claims of a mandate.

How come the electorates within states arent divided into dem won and gop won, if you win more than 50% of the vote in any state you get all the electorate seats.
3 states do that but the rest don't. It's just part of their broken system and why gerrymandering often decides elections. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
There are also 16 states that give all their votes to the popular vote winner, but they are mostly blue anyway.
I wonder if they have a gerrymandering dept that prepares the electorates for every election to game the system for the ruling party. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Can't gerrymander if they just rely on popular vote.

Some observations:
Wisconsin and Michigan, biden is winning by less then 30,000 votes - thought they would have been easy Biden grounds.
PA - trump is leading by 500,000 votes, but 64% only has reported. This is the key place.
The west coast - it was not a biden landslide there (70-80% or more, votes) either, contrary to what the media would like you to think. 40% of people in Oregon still voted for trump.
California - 65% voted for Biden.
(Washington) DC - one of the most corrupt places in America, where there are more escort agencies than McDonalds - went 95% biden. Trump pissed them off good.

Does gerrymandering even apply for the presidential election? I thought that’s more for House and state legislatures
They're not even a real state...like Puerto Rico and Labrador! This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Not really. It's clear that people in some states matter more than others. Much like Canadian politics. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

It absolutely does apply. More in some states than others, but since each state has it's won rules for how votes translate into elector college stuff, yes. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
