Anyone thinking they can take thier family for a vacation to Hawaii and make use of the rapid 2-day testing on return, that won't work for school kids!

Alberta COVID-19 Border Testing Pilot Project

To reduce the risk of transmission of COVID-19 to staff and students, the CBE will not be participating in Alberta’s Border Testing Pilot Project for rapid testing that launched on Nov. 2. This means that students and families who travel out of Canada may not return to school for 14 days after arriving back in Canada. More information is available on the government’s website.

I haven't done any research yet, but is there a way to get around having to isolate when you return to Canada? Do they offer tests at the airport or something? I'm really itching for a warm trip this winter

Only flying into Calgary directly from international location, so no connecting through Vancouver etc. Also no good of you have school aged kids.

    Research carefully.

Also bank on the fact that the flight you book will be cancelled and you'll get booked on another flight up to 24 hours different with no compensation. Airlines are advertising more flights than they are flying.

Thankfully we squeezed in a trip to Jamaica in Jan. Just before the shit hit the fan. Our yearly trip to Cabo is a no-go. Probably can't go in Jan. either.
I'd feel perfectly safe on the beach, and at our usual restaurants, but not on a 4-hour flight. And now my work says I need to burn up my vacation hours before the end of the year. So yeah great, 3 weeks of doing shit around the house. I should do some contract work and make some $$$

    Cool story bro

    Statement still stands

Just cause you had it mild doesn’t mean you didn’t pass it on to someone who got it severely

I'd be relieved if I already got CoVid and I believed that made me immune.

That's why contact tracing exists and it was pretty much guaranteed I did not spread it to anyone, and I still wear a mask everywhere I go. So thanks for your moronic statement but maybe you should take your fear mongering back to reddit.

We just did a 2 day trip to YVR. Plane was half empty in both directions. It is eerie. Usually there is at least 1 person hacking up a lung. Not a single cough on the way there or on the way back. No kids either (well except mine). No crying.

With the new lockdown measures in Vancouver, we didn't tell anyone we were going. Didn't meet up with anyone and basically had to wear a mask the entire time. Had to reserve pool time at the hotel.

    Will do again soon.

Guys listen here, the millions of people who have died, the millions of health care workers who are saying this is a serious disease, they’re all wrong about Covid cause tcon apparently had Covid and it was mild like a cold, so now he should be able to travel and not have to abide by quarantine measures

Sure I’ll go back to fear mongering on Reddit and you can go back to conspiracy theory and antivax groups on Facebook
