I went on anti anxiety / depressants last year. I'm trying to go off them again with the help of micro dosing shrooms. TBH the days i micro dose and not take the meds i'm in a better head space.

I've also started to do morning meditations using an app called insight timer. Lots of great things on there.

Let's all microdose our troubles away. Would be nice if it all came in an easy to use tea packet where all I need to do is to steep it, no worries on getting a bad trip, etc.

Probably still 10 years away until it becomes mainstream like CBD.

Are the 4 grams for Saturday considered microdosing? Asking for a friend...

They all gotta die some time. Millennials will pave the path, and Gen Z will make everything look like rainbows and butterflies.
YouTuber will be the equivalent of calling someone a boomer.

I'm like some of the people in here, things seem to be going downhill.

Got laid off right before covid. Hard to find a job. Took a good paying job but its contract work, no benefits at all, and I don't see a future here. Had a booming side business that suffered some setbacks and decided to shut it down. Was rewarding but it was at its make or break point and I felt it hadn't gotten to where I wanted it.

So I'm between a rock and a hard place. With o&g related industry sunsetting, my skillset a bit niche and my more general skillset in industry quite dusty, I'm considering possibly going back to school. But $10k/year tuition, plus lost wages, means easily $300k lost in earnings and expenses over 4 years. Could look at some sort of tech program, but I also want to get completely away from O&G.

Its funny, some things can't be taught and just require experience. But if you don't use that experience, you lose it. I feel like I learned lots over the years, but largely it is useless.

I have few responsibilities and have done well for myself, but honestly it seems like things may have peaked and its all downhill from here. Which is seriously crushing as I'm still fairly young. Very first world problems, but if I could tell my younger self where he'd be in a decade, he'd be blown away by the shitshow coming his way. Even doing everything "right" has still ended up in a mediocre place.

I hated my life on antidepressants. I needed off those.

4 grams is more than micro in my books, but you identify your medication however you choose. I won't judge.

    How's everyone doing these days?
Tired and miserable. I developed a lower back issue that needs surgery. Surgeries are all messed up right now because of Covid backlog.

It's terrible working with this and I'm always on the edge of going ballistic on people because I'm always in pain. Can't sleep.

Coworkers know I'm miserable. Wife knows I'm miserable but she tries to help the best she can.

I'm just over it and want it fuckin fixed.

For you job hunters - lower mainland is seriously like Calgary in 2008 right now... Are you breathing? Hired! Pass a pee test? Bonus!

Everyone's hiring, Amazon's even offering 2000$ bonuses for the sort folk, and wages are coming close to Fort McMurray $.

Well just got more shit thrown onto my plate.

Our office has actually chose to be full RTO on the 30th.. but here is the kicker.. For you to be able to go into the office you have to sign an attestation. This is intended so that if you are full vaccinated you don't have to wear a mask or socially distance. But if you are not then you have to wear a mask at all times unless your eating.

I realize private businesses can do as they please and things like this were going to happen just really frustrating that I have 3 choices and 2 are not something I am prepared to do.

    1. Get vaccinated and no distancing/mask
    2. Don’t get vaxx and have to mask up/distance

    What’s the third? Quitting?

Yes. I do not feel being singled out in a small office environment is conducive to a productive environment.

Option 3, sign the attestation, falsely, and live your fucking life.

Part of it is that by signing it you give them the right to ask for evidence.

Ask a medical professional what their recommendation is? Isn't that what people did before the internet and Facebook rolled around?

I mean, that's practically what I'm doing now, lol. A 300mg capsule every other weekend.

I was doing okay during Aug long weekend, then came back to work and was informed an ex-coworker of mine took his own life. Worked with him for a good 7 years, then a whole whack of us got laid off from Covid April-May 2020 which included him and me, but I was one of the few that got re-hired back after 2 months. He unfortunately did not. I knew he had some issues but I didnt know it was this bad. Leaving behind 3 kids. I'm just sad for them and dunno how to process this news. Feels surreal. But just hearing all the events surrounding his final day its like, what if we all reached out to him, would things be different? But then its like, he had 3 kids. Why would he leave them fatherless?

But shits real folks, reach out to friends/family who you havent talked to in awhile and see if theyre okay before its too late.

Well imagine if instead of writing that letter to the editor, she just posts on a car forum for car enthusiasts. That's Kritafo.
