I have noticed if they are higher value transactions there is a delay, but lower value ones are almost instantaneous.

I can send EMTs to most everyone from my Simplii account, and it almost always arrives within a min or two.
I find scotiabank to take roughly 30 mins.
I have waited a couple hours for some EMTs to show up.
Like I said, I don't think it is the actual banks as the EMT service and infrastructure is owned by Interac, and the banks all subscribe to the service. I am more inclined to believe it is an issue with interac and their service.

Always a fucking awful experience seeing spikers. Extra awful when he laps me.
Just paid my cousin for a round of Golf first accidentally through my personal banking and then right away from my business account and he transferred me back the personal one in between the couple of mins - all transfers were lightening fast. Never seen it that quick before.
When we sort out the monthly budget, her transfers to me are received right away but mine always seem to take awhile to her, ~30 mins. Maybe only $3-400 either direction and the trend seems to be the same.

Met up and rented out my parking stall. I'm with Simplii, guy did E-transfer on stop after I gave him pass. It was instant. Not sure what bank he was using but I did have Auto Deposit, actually switched the Auto Deposit from my RBC to my Simplii.

You know those bored stay at home moms who's entire lives revolve around driving their kids to soccer, various cleaning accessories, and worrying about neighbourhood rapists? The kind of people that watch the View and go "uh huh..." Those unfulfilled people who try to fill the void in their empty lives by writing whiny letters to the editor complaining about shit that no one really cares about?
Well imagine if instead of writing that letter to the editor, she just posts on a car forum for car enthusiasts. That's Kritafo.
