You can get Xbox Game Pass for 3-months for $1 right now. Works on PC as well.
That includes FS2020, plus a huge catalog of other titles (Most of EA catalog, I think Bethesda too?). Absolutely worth it if you wanna try a bunch of shit out.

Trailer gives more of an impression its becoming more of a game, rather than a simulation? Either way the graphics look sick, hopefully they incorporate weapons and jets into later versions. They could give DCS a run for their money.
Microsoft has incorporated weapons/combat before, 25sh years ago they had their Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator series, it was extremely popular from 1998 to 2003, sold half a million copies. www.combatsim.com was based in Calgary back then, and was by far the largest military flight sim news/forum/etc site, and it ran several articles and reviews along with interviews regarding MCFS.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. The next Microsoft flight sim update looks incredible, and if they can keep the fidelity along with all the modes/etc, and be able to draw those graphics at a reasonable frame rate - good times. If they add weapons/combat, I'll be very interested to see how well they do that. Competition is always great to see, and there really isn't anybody in the space of hi fidelity/realistic combat flight simulators other than DCS. IL2 is there, but it leans a lot more to the "game" side (not that that's bad, IL2 is great as our its tank/WW1 modules). Microsoft could gobble up a lot of customers as DCS is bonkers in terms of ever increasing users.
I used to run Janes Combat Flight Sim. F-15 was my go to. Used to bomb the shit out of the oil tanks on the ground. I was only like 11 years old. Had no idea what I was doing. And WWII fighters was awesome as well.
The new MS Flight Sim is looking awesome. I'm just hoping my 3rd party stuff from Contrail and Orbx still works. Lots of discussion on the forums about it.

I was out of VR for a bit myself, but picked up the Varjo Aero a while ago, along with the Occulus "Meta" Quest Pro. QP is 1/2 the price of the Aero, still not bad, but the Varjo Aero in MSFS is truly incredible. I'll be back in Calgary for the rest of the summer mid July, if you want to check it out, I'll have several PCs "sim" ready set up. I had gone back to flying MSFS and DCS on a flat screen setup as I'd gotten tired of messing with VR, and there is advantages, for sure, running a nice 4k or even 2kwidescreen panel. But the Aero is really astonishing, and pulled me back into VR. The Quest Pro is for our niece and nephews to use, mostly toi have a current 2nd headset to prevent youngsters getting cranky over sharing the VR headset. It's pretty impressive for the relative price too IMO, although I hate Occulus now for getting gobbled up by that fuckhead and his metaverse. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member.
