Red Lodge is a cute little family campground. Always lots of kids.

Grabbed 6 nights at Ressor lake for early July. Haven't stayed in that particular campground but like the area.

Looks nice in the pictures, would you expect it to be pretty warm in July? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I would expect it to be very warm down there. Hydration is important.

Its Cypress. It'll be cooking. Its at least a dozen AGD a day to keep hydrated, plus good beerThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Basically factor in a case a day of light beer on top of your normal drinking. And mix in at least one water. #notmedicaladviceThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Booked Marten River in July. We've never been camping that far north.
T-minus 5 for Parks Canada
Whelp. This doesn't bode well for getting a spot, lol.
I am number 32,635 in line to make a reservation.
I'm a bit too lazy to sift through the entire thread, so forgive me if this was already asked and answered: Can anyone suggest a good backcountry/non-reserved spot similar to Waiprous or Dutch Creek that is accessible by vehicle? Preferably near water. We'd like to try out a new spot this year and have only stayed in the mentioned locations. TIA.

I'm at 28025 now, an hour later. I think I fucked up earlier. I didn't realize how the system works, and was on the countdown page at 7:30 for the main site, but literally the last minute I thought I might have a better chance either f I went to the specific campground page, so closed the first tab, and open Twojacks direct page. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. If they put you in line the moment you go on the countdown page, then I definitely dry lubed myself.
I think different parks are tomorrow maybe. I forget which is which. Anyway, yikes on that wait list.

Cant tell if you mean if you want a first come first serve site, or a random camping spot with no campground. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
If FCFS, Cataract Creek is super quiet, a 1 min walk to the creek. Livingstone falls is nice. Both of these are similar to Dutch
It was randomized for folks waiting for 8AM, brother in law got 3000 and some position in line while I started at 32000ish.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Folks hitting the page 8AM onward just went to last in line.
Think BIL was able to book me a site while he was able to reserve so I'll be dipping out on confirmation.
Cataract Creek is a pretty nice spot. Haven't' been for a few years. The best spots at Dutch are nicer, but you save at least an hour of driving at cataract. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Seems like a good system then, I just had shitty luck with the randomizer. I went on my phone at 8:05 and was put in line at 35,XXX.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Got a lake site at Chinook for July Long.. was thinking we'd extend it for a week, but think we're gonna just slowly do a bunch of the highway 40 FCFS sites on the way back to Calgary
Got in to crimson lake for 4 nights in July. Does anyone know if you are allowed dogs on the beach there?
Secured a late week (thursday) backcountry spot at point backcountry campground for late may.
