To make things more transparent I put my excel sheet on google sheets. Anyone can see the math I'm using here.

Smurf did a good job explaining what I'm doing above. I am personally paying 0.07% per epoch (every 5 days) to get more people interested in this pool.
Once we have enough coins in the pool, the ADA network will start rewarding us with new shiny coins.
As of yet no new coins have been awarded because we are too small.

For you Spikers, just put in what you feel comfortable investing in crypto. Consider these rewards as a small bonus and let them grow.
If you want to pull out and sell let me know.

I want to beat R-Audi, but there's no way I can pull 600 more ADA out of my ass, unless I sell off all my other coins to make it happen.
@spikerS , like I said, this is essentially interest. You're getting paid interest on your crypto savings account. Let it sit there and earn more cypto for you. If the YYC pool doesn't attract enough coins to start earning it's own coins at the end of this, you can delegate to another more popular pool, and you just get automagically paid out more and more ADA coins, letting it compound. The more you put in, the more you earn, but at the end of the day, it's still a flat interest %, just in this case, jacky is paying us out of pocket until the pool gets popular enough.

I am slowly starting to understand a little more, so thanks for being patient with my @Lildrunkensmuf and @Jackie4566 I appreciate it.

I understand Jackie4566 and the personal stake he is offering.

I am just curious though. With the ADA coins we have now, besides what rewards jackie is giving us, what else is there? Do we just hope for the 0.05% chance of getting a block" or whatever, or or we still earning something per epoch for the proof of stake?

Just converted some of the eth I mined the past couple of months to ADA.

The ADA are still in my binance wallet. It's only 100 tokens so nothing major. Can i stake it from Binance or do i need to transfer to another wallet? If so can someone recommend a good wallet for ADA? and explain what i need to do to stake to the beyond pool?

If we don't attract enough attention, you'll want to re-delegate to a more popular pool (there's tons out there.) Then you'll get guaranteed rewards from the blockchain (rather than Jackie's savings account).

You can't stake with an exchange like Binance. I use Daedalus on Windows. Works pretty well.

Daedalus is pretty great but its a full Node. that just means it downloads the entire blockchain on your computer. Many many GB..

Technically, you are paying a 2 ADA deposit when you stake and a transaction fee to pay that deposit (~0.17ADA). If you wanted to un-stake you can technically get that 2 ADA back BUT as of yet Its not easy and requires creating a manual transaction. none of the major wallets support de-registering wallets yet...

If you change pools, the only cost is a blockchain transaction ~0.17ADA.

Why not both? ADA is a blockchain, whereas CAKE is a BEP20 token on the BSC blockchain. Don't put all your eggs in one basket.

@spikerS I also go your extra coins. Remember you only need to delegate your Wallet. If you add or subtract coins from the wallet that is automatically in the pool.

Don't know if it matters or not. but your spreadsheet doesnt seem to be updated with my stake.

Pretty sure you can just enter your 12 word key for import.
No transactions will happen on the blockchain.
If you just figured this out. FYI for anyone else, you can move between wallet apps without cost.

Yeah. I wanted to do that, but aside from a ton of 1-star reviews on Google apps (for chrome), it never let me enter the 12-key phrase, so I'm not sure what changed.
Oh. Also, I have a 24 word recovery key, not 12, so Yoroi isn't happy with that either.
Got it. Had to restore a shelley wallet using a 24 word phrase.

Interested to see what the price does when its opened up to Japan on Wednesday...
I was looking at buying more last week... hesitated and it kept jumping.. Ugh. Ended up getting a bit more today hoping that it jumps even more this week and September with the smart contracts.
