Liberal candidate running against michelle rempel tells Albertans to fit in or fuck off. Bet she didn't think so many Albertans would agree in a way

You think your vote matters in Alberta?
It's possible it does though, what are they predicting for voter turnout? Isn't voter turnout how the US election got turned on it's head in 2016, that and the media giving people false confident in who was strongly predicted to win? All I have is rumors, no facts to back this up...

Do you think the people who don’t vote are all Liberals?

Country wide popular vote literally has no impact in our elections, we aren’t the United States.

No chance of winning anyway. Say whatever she wants.

I'm gonna go on a whim and say the lefties screw themselves by splitting the Liberal and NDP votes enough to let the Cons win the seats they need for a minority gubmint

I don't suspect the CBC of rigging the data used for the poll tracker. The spin of the headlines, sure, but the poll tracker has real data behind it, data that's available to the public.

Can't figure out how it benefits the CBC to show a big liberal lead either.
Therein lies the problem. The headlines are all that need to be controlled. Very few people will look at the data, and those of us that do already know that it's an easier race for the Liberals because of seat distribution. This isn't exactly a data intensive prediction.

I hate to use a pejorative term here, but the majority really are sheep. If the headlines say "Predicted Liberal majority!!" They don't think about why that is, they just start to think that they don't want to vote wrong by going against the grain. It's manipulation plain and simple. If you don't see how CBC benefits by voter manipulation to keep the government in power that supplies their endless gravy train of funding, as opposed to allowing any sort of fair advantage for the party that wants to actively cut their funding, I'm not sure what to tell you.

Even reading this very thread shows the power of these media headlines on people. Look how many people completely forget history and just automatically assume a Liberal Majority. Last time they got the boot it was from a measly 1 billion dollars on a failed gun registry, and a few million stolen bucks for the Adscam fiasco. Fuhrer Justin has since driven the entire Canadian economy into the shitter, added 100 billion in debt, been racked with ethics violations, pissed off every marginalized group he claimed to champion, and will go down as the most divisive government in Canadian history. To think that the average Torontonian and Quebecer is perfectly A-OK with these types of things is fairly naive. Quebec already proved to us last election they've had about enough of Trudeau's shit. It's just unfortunate they chose to show that by throwing their votes away to the Bloc instead of a real contempt vote by going with the Conservatives.

Actually polls no longer trumpet Liberal majority for at least 3 weeks now. Conservative doesn't seem to have a chance in July but now neck in neck with the Liberals.

But we all know polls are pointless these days.

As someone hoping to vote from overseas for anyone but Liberals, I'd be surprised if I receive a ballot and can submit it in time for it to be counted given the snap announcement... So there's that.

comparing the liberal platform to the conservatives is hilarious. Cons look like they have been preparing since the last election. Liberals look like the NDP out there

The Liberals are quickly changing their "plan" to reflect anything popular from NDP/Cons.

hopefully everyone can see through excuse turdo used to call the election in the first place. Canadians need a chance for input on this transformative time, however, we don't actually know what we plan on doing yet.

At least he can't prorogue the election to avoid being accountable for another error of judgement.

I know Trudeau losing as PM is not going to happen, but man I would be laughing if his party loses seats because of this.
