I think there's major work on the Hwy by Golden going on but not sure if that is causing delays or they're using a bypass.

Evening delays (30 mins) and overnight closures for a while that would require a bypass through 93/95 if you're into that night driving, but no daytime closures anymore.

Did that deep south drive detour once. Not again. Took so long to get to Kelowna. I'm sure I could turn it into a humble brag if I also had a golf membership and sold houses.

Just not sure lol Vancouver to Calgary
Google showing routes along the border and then up through creston, cranbrook OR go through the Seattle, states. Ain’t nobody got time for that. 14 hours.

Or van to Kamloops via highway 99 - 5.5hours and then go #1 to Calgary - 12 hours total
Or van to Kamloops via highway 5, google shows it’s closed but I think it’s just delayed due to twinning the highway between hope and Merritt? Probably still min 10.5-12hours right?

I dunno why, but google maps has been absolute garbage in BC. When we were there in november a few weeks after the flood , it kept recommending routes that were 5-7 hours longer then the open route that the apple map would show us.. Wasnt even a bug, as it consistently had incorrect info on what roads were closed vs open

Very nice drive. Been over 10 years since I made that van to Calgary drive. Took bunch of breaks for coffee etc. exciting weaving through the roads. Way better than a dead straight to Edmonton lol

120 on coq was sweet. I had my escort 9500 so was keeping it around 35kms/over limit lol
Down to 1 lane both sides on a stretch of the coq, scenic routes through the oak lakes, a little gravel through the mountains where they twinning things, 50 in the national parks was brutal in stretches for the bears. Was about to past a ghost suv in Banff but they flipped on the Cherie’s to wArn and I gladly pulled behind them. Best was the dead straight coming into the west side of city, stretch things out a little
