Exactly. All it takes is a high idle to charge the battery again. Much quieter than a Genny. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I just wish they did not take as big as payload hit as they do , the Toyota hybrid is about 15lbs less in payload … but there over all payload suxThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I did see a lot of powerboosts in campgrounds this summer
I thought it wasn't much different at all? Similar to other high optioned supercrew trucks? Like 1300 to 1500 lbs?
Is that not the case?

Do we have a decent tow capacity midsize truck on the horizon?
Like 7-10,000lbs towing capacity without going into a medium duty truck?

It’s not power with those trucks, it’s payload, brakes, cooling, and sway control.
All of those are easier to maintain and advance on a half ton platform (which is the size of a 3/4 ton 30 years ago)

I guess it depends on what you mean by "Mid-sized".

7-10,000 lb is no joke for towing. And electric cars are definitely jokes for towing.
I guess you could get a hummer

gonna try this out for a bit to see how diff it is to the Tesla and EV6. It's actually quite big and the interior is really nice.

Range Sucks When Towing with Electric Trucks, but Not with the 2025 Ram 1500 Ramcharger (caranddriver.com)
Ram 1500 Ramcharger
663 HP / 615ftlbs and 14,000 lb towing capacity
Plug-in hybrid with 145 mile electric range from the 70.8 kwh battery. The 3.6L V6 is direct drive to a generator only but boosts the range up to 690 miles.
That honestly looks like some pretty good specs.
Edit: ooops it has its own thread.

My current demo, totally worth all the hype from Motortrend, been enjoying the hell out of this thing.
Edit: fun fact this vehicle wasn't even supposed to land in Canada yet, when it arrived 3 weeks ago there were only a handful of these on ground in the entirety of the United States.
it has no MSRP or window sticker as of today, can't even sell it if we wanted to.

^^ The Blazer RS EV?
I thought the specs are fairly so-so on it?

This thing is an amazing daily with great range and does a great job of feeling like a normal car without any weird quirks
Just poking around online and noticed on the KIA website the residual on the EV6 lease seems ridiculously high. 73% on a 3 year lease and 65% on 4 years. is this right?
Would be pretty tempted to lease an EV9 for 3 years on a 73% residual..
Yeah the range is pretty impressive at around 500 km. Any idea what is weighs in at for curb weight? I haven't seen it published yetThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
My guess is that it's darn close to the AWD Lyriq, so around 5,800 lbs. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Ultium Platform is pretty heavy because it's quite dense, the flat cells inside the battery pack leave almost no wasted space when compared to the cylindrical cells inside a Tesla pack.
Here's a great video talking about the engineering and design of the platform, video is about Hummer EV but most of the information is universal to the Ultium platform.
The residuals on the last two years should have been over 100% for most vehiclesThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
