I like neat cars.
Mar should drive a Solara.
Like a couple others, I'm confused.
Do they even make a manual electric car, at least one that isn't some garage build from a YT channel? Also, the Tesla Roadster isn't a "petrol" vehicle.
From your list, Golf GTI/R seems to be the most likely candidate, since you aren't going to find a manual trans EV IMO. Also, BRZ, WRX, 86/FRS, etc aren't bad options either. My fiance has been driving a 2022 BRZ for most of this year and loves it as a road car. The new WRX isn't a bad car either, we drove one and I tried to nix the BRZ and get it instead, but no go on that one. Also, the Civic SI is getting good reviews, it's not super expensive, decent warranty/etc, and is available with a manual. Of all the options available, Civic SI, WRX, or Golf GTI/R would be my pick since you want a car for winter as well.

get a new veloster n..
I missed what happened to the old one?
2022 was the first year they stopped making coupes so he'd have to get a used one, not sure if that's a deal breaker. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Is it like manually freezing the battery?
I can’t believe no he’s said trackhawk yet …
That’s not a very practical recommendation considering the criteria. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Not a 2 door manual EV, so in other words, it's perfect.

See Crank. See Crank Walk. Walk Crank Walk.
Forgot about his 2 door criteria. Then the Golf R and GTI are out too aren't they, at least for newer models? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Aren't they called the GR86 or something like that now? It could have been an option but I feel like the Z is a better car from the reviews I've seen. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I require a manual but I'd be willing to give that up to go electric. If I'm sticking with gas I will not buy an automatic. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Do you really want to pay the 20% luxury tax and drive it in the snow? I guess a used one could be a good buy but I park my winter car on the street and I'd feel badly leaving a 911 out in the snow all winter. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I would love a Del Sol or even better, a CRX. I love the look of them and I feel like they're going to start shooting up in value. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Jesus man, I know you like Transformers, but you need to get out more. No one should get this upset over a movie based on children's toys.
The Z is not a better car than the GR86. Not even close. It's largely a mediocre refresh of the largely mediocre 370Z. It's faster in a straight line but that's where its superiority ends. GR86 is a better all around car by a longshot.

To not waste time on a new thread. I am thinking about buying a car to keep for the next 30 years. Can age along with me I suppose. Looking around $80. Current choices are a camaro zl1 and a m340i.. pretty open I guess. Hoping for something timeless to carry me through Sunday drives in a future of vehicle appliances.
With just over half the horsepower and torque, what makes the GR86 a better car? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I’ve heard the battery is well insulated.
