Sometimes I just dump the mini compost bin contents into the larger outside one. I tell myself it's because touching the sweaty baggie is disgusting, but deep down, I know that it's mainly because I resent having to pay 12¢ for each of those useless bags as we pretend that my carrot peelings being picked up by a third diesel truck to take them somewhere special makes any positive difference to anyone.

It is 100% about the city selling you back your waste as compost than it is saving the environment. We've been tricked into thinking that its for the planet but its actually for profit.

Also seems stupid expensive. I’ve bought a few of these for like $10 on Amazon. Don’t think I’ve ever used usb once on them.

I realized that when I am on road trip or in the field I tend to keep my bottles and bring them home with me to recyle instead of throwing them out where ever I am. I could get back from 4 days away and have a dozen water or gatorade bottles in my truck.
