Yes it is his 2nd year.
What has he done in the past as a GM? Not able to keep the talent and give them away for almost next to nothing? Has he won anything?
Sheldon has been asking for help in terms of players. What did Tre Do? Signed a guy who can hardly walk John Klinberg ( Same Money as Matt Dumba) , Signed Ryan Reaves to a contract which most likely going to be bought out.
Signed Bertuzi ( No show for half of the Season). Only useful Signing he did was Domi.
Walked Ilya to free agency and then gave picks to get him back during trade deadline.
Cost Leafs more money by Playing hard ball with Nylander. If you look at Nylander career he was trending upwards so smart GM would have signed during the last off season for way less than what Leafs are paying him now.

Shedon is not the issue. He can only work with what tools he has been given.
Now I am sure Tre is going to trade Marner and that will be a disaster.
Does Tre has the balls to go and Strip the C from JT and trade him? I highly doubt it.
Before Marner , Leafs need to get rid of JT

I can't speak on Klinberg and Ilya but Reeves was picked up to add toughness, something Toronto desperately needed when making the playoff push. Bertuzi and Domi are good young players and they played pretty good in the playoffs. Nylander has a huge ego and Toronto played right into it. The price is the price for guys like that. He would have got 11m anywhere.

Well Nylander camp wasn't asking for 11M when they opened up the negotiation with Tre. Tre Decided to wait and the rest is history.
Being a stat driven team all you need is to just look up the upward trend Nylander has.

The oiler collapse was fun to watch. I hate the oilers, I also hate the canucks but only slightly less, so I guess I'm cheering for the canucks in this series

It was refreshing watching the oilers cough up the puck, Nashville was a frustrating team to generate any offence against. Skinner is an absolute mess, I don't think Edmonton can go far with him in net, regardless of the opponent.
