    Default Kitchen reno

I'm no designer, but im trying my best to have a nice usable kitchen that can stand the test of time, so I bought an Ikea kitchen lol

So we tore the whole kitchen out, rerun a bunch of wiring since the wiring was shit when we put the OTR in and we had our garburator connected to the dishwasher, so now there's a few dedicated breakers for those.

We replaced the microwave countertop with a pantry for more storage. Anyways, on with the pics, still in progress, countertop measurements Monday and install Wednesday, so im told.

Old kitchen 1998...yes poly b is being replaced lol

New. We have a black, white and grey kitchen, so we thought we'd go real bold and go with some color for the backsplash.....eeeee well see how it looks lol

So far only a few hiccups with some plumbing that cost me an extra $200 but it could have been alot worse.

That's where non-kitchen junk piles up. Source: we have a similar spot and that's where my wife puts everything non-kitchen.

But how many dildos and butt-juicers can a reasonable person of non-Swedish heritage be expected to have in order to fill such a vacuous, hateful space!??

How long did you have to wait for your kitchen stuff to be delivered? We are installing a wet bar downstairs and so far have only received about half the order from Ikea. And even then, I think there's maybe 2 cabinets that were complete with the order, so we can't even start to assemble what is here.

So I'd say it was about 2 weeks total. Because I work out of town, I had to get some stuff delivered because if they put the stuff on order for you when it comes in, you only have 3 or 4 days to get it or it goes into stock.

So I did a couple shipments and a couple pickups, just based on when their stuff randomly came available.

Okay, thanks. We had the initial order delivered (what they had available) and are now waiting to hear about the rest of it.

Quick update. Counter top in, sink in, handles on. Some electrical still needs to be done and some plumbing, should be done today, but still another week before bavksplash.

All good. Wasn't sure if it was destined for the dump or not, was gonna save you the trouble. I don't even know what I am doing with my kitchen yet anyways, so was more of a random comment than anything serious.

Tap on, started cleaning up the house, its almost like a house again. Missing that one door, should be here next week. Some little issues that needed to be hashed out, but other than the obvious, we're all done.

Still some other changes to do in the house, that one light above the peninsula for one lol the floor and baseboards and changing to Decora switches everywhere and were pretty much done the inside of the house, we can finally live without thinking about renos.

As an aside, our slab had a little extra, so we changed out the yellow arborite countertop in the half bath(unfortunately no pics, it was gross)
