Yep truth. We have one set of shitty doors (in our master bedroom) that open onto a useless balcony. Plastic wrap on this is mandatory in these cold temps, but the rest of the house is triple pane and no issues.
Air exchange will dry your home very quickly without a dehumidifier or anything like that if you want to bring humidity down. I always want to bring my up, so I have stopped running my bathroom fans.

Exactly. Do this and your house will lose humidity really quickly. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
If you have an old leaky house running your fart fans will do this as well at a slower rate. If you have a tight/newer house run the HRV, it'll change air over and dry things out.
And this. If you have moisture issue keep your blinds up and blast with a fan to dry them out. Its all about relative humidty and air movement around the windows. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Quick note...
Remove any screens on windows that are having ice issues as well.
It will increase air flow and allow the ice / condensation to dissipate faster.

I think he means screens that are on the inside. Outside screens on slider windows make zero difference for ice build up on the inside. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Right. That type of window. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
HRV isn't going to do shit when the air coming in is more humid than what is inside your house.

No condensation/ice here, new (since moving in) windows were worth it, double pane but also wallet pain.

D'rell on here has reminded all of us that we should use dew point for clarity.
Or just trust me when I say the air outside is dry as fuck.
