Apprarantly a huge accident. Both north and southbound crowchild shut down this morning on the bow trail bridge. Took me 30 mins to get to the nearest turnoff to take alternate routes. Crazy stuff.
Roads are soooo icy this morning... drive safe.

Yeah WTF happened? Crowchild was a parking lot. A lot of people lost patience and started driving on the shoulder coming into downtown today...
is it still like that?
please don't flame me, or i'll have to learn how to use the ban button
Not sure, they closed it at around 7:30am this morning. Turn on the radio and find out... QR77 should give you an update.Originally posted by gkAeris

It was just starting to move decently around 9:30am.
My radio turned on at 5:45 and I heard what the roads were like, so I hit the snooze button and slept in until 8:15...
Its days like this that I am glad that I leave the house at 6:00am.
it was not moving anywhere at about 830ish...took us about 40 minutes to get downtown.

Was all cleared up at 1015 this morning but when I was coming back from work at about 930 tonight there was another HUGE accident...two actually on Crowchild southbound. One on the bridge over the Bow River and another on the hill coming down from McMahon.
Roads are REALLY icey tonight....definetly drive safely.
Becareful guy/gals.
It's CRAZY out there. I got stuck on Shaganappi myself and had to walk home.
It's times like this that I hate living in the North.

it is slippery out there today, especially in the morning, i nearly slipped on the sidewalk so i went on the grass, i nearly slipped on the grass too

when i got dropped off at 2 this morning...my hole driveway was ice...my buddy, couldnt make it 5 feet up the driveway, even tho he had summer tires on, i dont think winter tires woulda helped, unless it was studded, had to walk up the side in the snow....ice was thick enough to toss on hockey skates and skate on it
the roads lastnight and this morning were skating rinks i was going down a very light slant at around 10K and could not even stop had to get onto the side of the road where teh gravel was piled up.
