Default My 240sx to Silvia Evolution W/PICS

K, I finally got my shit together and decided to post my car.

    95 Nissan 240sx SE
    Leather, LSD, Power everything. etc...

All of my work was done a Speedville here in Calgary. Karl's shop sponsered me to do this project. For being a "direct swap" it involded a lot of customization/fabrication. All of the custom work was done Karl and myself. It's kind of funny, all though most of the stuff that I had to buy was JDM. I did try to mix it up, the US does have some good manufactorers, we are catching up. Karl's a German car guy so I had to get at least 1 German part, so he imported some 3" Bruland mandrel bent pipe for my downpipe. I had a few others help me out as well. Props to Ngyen form Auto Dreams did my wiring, my buddies Mike (MR8), Orrin (Darknight) for helping me out when I need some more hands. Max (Maxt) gave me lots of consultaiton and advice. But Karl and I spent sooooo many long hours every day except Sunday's, right after my regular job I wold go to Karls, and full Saturdays for 1.5 months strait. I don't think I could ever do a project that much in a row again. It was crazy. But if I were to do another swap I could do it wayyyyyy faster now.

SR20DET Blacktop 2.0L IC Turbo and Tranni (Rebuilt by myself).
JDM Grex (Greddy in Japan) 1.2mm Metal Head Gasket.
JDM Greddy DD Silvia 3" Exhaust.
JDM Blitz SUS Steel Mesh Air filter.
JDM Blitz Super Sound Blow Off Valve with Blitz pipe kit.
    JDM HKS Type S Front Mount Intercooler Kit w/piping. 23.62" x 11.85" x 2.56" (Good for 450HP, Biggest of all JDM's).
    JDM Trust Turbo Timer.
    Greddy Profec B Boost Controller.
Speedville custom 3" Stainless Steel Mandrel bent Bruland Downpipe (No test pipe section, it's huge over 2.5 feet long).
    Centerfoce Dual Friction Maxima clutch.
    NGK R Platnum 300zxTT cold 7 plugs.
Walbro 255 L/Hr Mustang Racing in tank fuel pump.
    Heat wrapped manifold.
    OBX Short Shifter.
Momo Type S nob, and Momo Boot.

    ADR Design Kosei 18x8,18x9 wheels.
    245/40/18, 265/35/18 Nitto 555R Extremes.
    300zxTT 30mm Aluminum 4 piston front Calipers.
300zx TT Drilled KVR rotors (front).
240sx TT Drilled KVR rotors (rear).
KVR Carbon Fiber brake pads all around.
    Russel Stainless Steel brake lines.
    Eibach Prokit.
Whiteline Adjustable Front and Rear Sway Bars.
16" 3000 CFM Permacool Electric Fan.
Some JDM Fuji Hachieto performance rad cap. (Orrin makes fun of it).
Painted tailights by Corey @ Speedville.
    Relocated Battery to Trunk.
    Autometer Phantom;
    Boost guage
    EGT
    Air/Fuel

While I was posting them I remembered to blur the plates. No SS times because they wont let me race because of the battery in the trunk. They want me to install a "master battery/altinator kill switch" which I bought a couple weeks ago. Just kind of a pain to install and I've been a little lazy to install it. I did have some fun racing at the last Beyond track meet. But my intrests are in the 1/4 mile. Plus I had a family death, so I kinda was not up for tuning or racing.

You realize now that you've done this swap and know what it entails that your email box will be full and your phone will never stop ringing. Just ask Max

Nice looking car, I look forward to seeing it in person, and maybe running against it at the track.

That battery relocation is a shitty deal, but it's their track so i guess you have to play by their rules. Do they require ventilation as well, or are you running an optima battery?

Turns off ALL power to your car. Must be placed on the rear of the car 100% visable. So I will have to make a cutom bracket for it.

    Hehehehe.

I'm not sure if they require the vent or not, it's not a big deal if they do. My battery is not a gel battery.

No the switch must be 100% visable and accessable not the battery itself. Battery has to be in a battery box.

    Thanks.

Actually they call it a Sil-eighty and it made it to production. But you will never own one nore be able to reproduce it 100%. They made only 400 of them, and there where changes to the ECU and cams, to increase the HP, enough to make it easier to break into a drift.

Around 240HP/230TQ to the wheels. It's never been dyno'd but the stock engine with 2.5" downpipe and FMIC @ 1 bar will get you in the 230-240WHP range plus I have a 3" down pipe, and a non restrictive exhaust and a good intake and FMIC. Car is fast but it just makes you hungry for more power.

I like the Nitto's a lot so far.
