I'll go with a toaster oven "upgrade" instead.
One breaker for this room ok?

Picked up a lift finally. Gotta say, I'm a pretty happy boy right now.

You sir, have a nicely kept garage(and toys).
I've been looking at Peak lifts. The price is right. Is that a 408? You have it sitting on wood?
There is really something about the civic sir that is perfect, I can’t explain.
Yes I agree. Love it.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Being excited over an appliance purchase has got to be a top 5 sign you're officially old lol

At least we get to feel that excitement about 10x more frequently than a few decades ago when appliances lasted a reasonable length of time. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
As fucked as that is you're absolutely right. Read any reviews of new fridge's and you're left with picking the one with the least amount of reviews and YT do not buys vids lolThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I had to replace a 12 year old furnace 2-3 years ago because of a cracked heat exchanger, the part alone was 2400 and a new one was 4000. The hvac guy said thats about the lifespan of a new furnace so I should be changing the furnace anyways. I sold a house last year that had the original furnace so at least 25 years old and never missed a beat in the 15 years I owned it. I didnt even replace it when i reno'd the house to sell but did do at the end just because it looked so old.

We had that fridge in our last place, it was solid. Good choice. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I was pretty fucking pissed when I had to replace my fridge a few months ago.
If you want a long lasting fridge, don't get one with an built in water/ice maker. Those things account for like 90% of the problems.
On a related note I was wondering about a low-feature, high reliability fridge for a vacation property. If it was mildly more energy efficient that's good but not critical. Extra insulation would be wonderful.

Any basic top freezer unit.
Get something without a water line and your failures become a lot less problematic.
That’s my plan when I replace my Samsung with a busted ice maker.

I never hooked up the water line to my last fridge. Had it plumbed in when we redid the kitchen for future proofing, but life’s simpler without it.
I’m just happy I mentally wrote off all of my Samsung appliances when I moved in. 2/3 already have serious problems.
Hoping I can last another year or 2 until I do my kitchen reno.

Got rid of half my Samsung appliances within a month of moving in, unfortunately still have the fridge with complimentary broken ice maker.
