Beyond.ca DJ Gathering

[DJ Lazy]

As of lately I have noticed that there seems to be a good number of DJ's on Beyond... More Specifically, Trance/Hard Trance spinners.

I have also seen mentioned quite a few times that there should be a gathering of the DJ's to chill and have a good time...

Now I will be the first to say that I have no idea where we could hold something like this, as I know my place is not suitable.

If anyone has any other ideas about this, Please post up.. I think it would be a sweet time.... maybe Ben would be kind enuf to snap some pics....

I don't have it fully thought out yet, so thats what this thread is for.. If you are interested post up and hopefully we can get something together...

I remember I always asked djs to "teach" me, but I learned you can only learn yourself. First thing you should do is find your style or genre of music, a great website for vinyl where you can search genres or labels, and listen to samples is www.Bangingtunes.com I order alot of vinyl from there, and you can sign up and get an email everytime there is a new release. I would suggest you buy some used tables and a simple mixer to see how you like it. Get used to beat matching before you go out and buy a more complexe mixer, then you can get into sampling effects etc. Its an awesome hobby and I personally find it energetic and therapeutic myself, good luck and have fun!

The point on 17th has a DJ night called ghetto blaster. Just a night where the music is different. Me and Rodi will be spinning this Wednesday.
And Banana Jaks is promoting their new menu on the 23rd so some Litte Production DJ's will be there to provide some entertainment throughout the night.

I was thinking more along the lines of a gathering where we ALL spin a set... chill, have a good time... not gather at an event...

I think it would be unique to have a session with abunch of others that can give you feedback and whatnot...

If you like we can still throw shit at you..

me & status were talking about it today but the only thing we could think of was if we did that @ banana jacks on a 2nd night or something (provided that want us back for a 2nd time).

Otherwise perhaps a house party or one of Sinister's clubnights?

House party would be great.. if someone was willing to host there home to a bunch of people they don't know...

one of Sinisters nights would be great.. however lasttime I was playing at Bamboo they had some SERIOUS equipment problems... that I don't really want to deal with again...
