    Default Leaving a car undriven?

I'm leaving my car on the drive for about 3 months while I'm at uni and can't take the car with me. I was just wondering if anyone can tell me if there is anything necessary to be done to the car if its left for this period of time undriven. The car is a 1995 Ford Mondeo. Thanks.

Usually adding a fuel stabilizer helps, disconnect the battery or put a charger on it, sometimes moving the vehicle every once in a while stops you from getting flat spots in the tires. But for only 3 months i would imagine you will only have to disconect the battery everything else may be overkill.

yeah, you'll be fine, just make sure ya bring a booster or someone to boost you when you go to start it, that might be the only issue.

I've inflated my tires in the range of 60 psi while in storage to prevent flat spots. Just don't forget to adjust to the proper pressure when you drive it again.

If it's parked inside, leave each window cracked open. Clean the car and fill the tank (with fuel stabilizer as stated above) before storing it.

I'd start the car and warm it up to operating temp at least once a month as well, don't want the rings to dry out.
You start with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience before you empty the bag of luck.

If you get a friend to go to your place every 2 or 3 weeks and drive it around the block wont that save the trouble for you? (not your friend, tho, but thats ok =P)

Anyone know what to do to store a car a few years? >_>

for a few years, you need to run it to operating temp every month, add some fuel stabilizer, put the car on 4 or more jack stands (the ultimate way to not having flat spots), clean it before you put it away, crack the windows (keeps bad smell from developing, etc...), cover the car with a good car cover, perform all maintenance if need be... and wax it so it repels any dust it may build up from finding ways into your clear coat. You should be good to go afer that!

Don't forget to plug up your muffler. Wouldn't want any rodents crawling up the exhaust system, and getting stuck there when you start her up.

Change the oil before you park it. Always a good idea.
