    Default Issue with Shaw

    Recently Madmax and I (house-mates) signed up with a Shaw 3-tier cable package, and high speed internet.

    We signed up for the back to school deal, which on their website, is free install, free first month, and 6 months @ 29.95 each month, with the purchase of the cable modem, which we did.

    So. Our first bill came. And it included all types of set up and installation charges, and 39 bucks for the month of internet.

    What happened to the free install, and free first month? Let alone 29 bucks per month, not 39!

    So Max calls shaw, and they refuse to do anything...

    Advice, opinions, suggestions?

    ah tell em you want a refund on your modem that you purchased.
    And tell them that your not happy with their service and are planning on purchasing a bell expressview sattelite and Telus adsl instead.

    See if they dont help you out then

    Davan, you seem to have major issues with a small number of service providers

    I'd call and speak to the Customer Service manager, or the person who you booked the original installs through. And yes, threatening to switch to Telus works
