    Default short shifter

    i want to change the stock shifter in my 88 crx to a B&M short shifter, how much would that cost? and where can i get one?

    Around 60-100 and from any speedshop.

    If you go ahead and do it let us know if there was a big difference or not. I talked to one guy who said it totally wasn't worth it.

    do it yourself... fairly easy enough...
    unless you wanna pay others to do it for you!

    for my b&m short shifter you couldnt just take out the shift boot and stuff and change the shifter we had to jack the car up and move the exhuast pipe and do it underneath.

    There is a big difference between stock and the new short shifter, the throw is noticeable shorter. But the only thing is that i don't recommend using a short shifter. Reason being is because 99% of mis-shifts and synchro's grinding is because of a short shifter. This happens because most of the time when shifting really quick in a race the shift linkage is not engaged all the way into gear which causes the mis-shift or grinding into gear. All i would recommend doing is using a 94-01 Integra Stock shifter with a Energy suspension Bushing kit for your shift linkage.

    ^

    the shorter throw isnt really worth the discomfort and grinding that ive experienced when driving friends cars.

    well i dont like the stock shifter in the crx it is way to big.


    I will do the conversion and i will tell you guys how good or bad it is.

    since you are still going to use the short shifter make sure you buy an 94-01 integra one. In all the EF's, EG's, and Ek's we do we use the 94-01 integra shifter's cause it's got a dual bend instead of a single bend. it feel'd much better trust me
