There was such a thing, but it's now out of circulation since around 2000.

I had a few for a brief moment when I paid cash for my last car.

yeh they are real. we have had a couple ourselves. we actually got some last year when buying CAD in HK.

I used to work for a company owned by Canadian Bank Note. My boss used to have to go to the plant in Ottawa regularly.

Obviously, the place is very secure. Lots of check points, etc. In any case, in one of the hallways, he was leaning on a pallete of about 6000 sheets. He noticed as he glanced down they happened to be 1000's.

Each sheet of our money (5,10,20's etc) has 40 impressions. Therefore in the case of the 1000, each sheet is worth $40,000.00. So, with out realizing it at the time, he was leaning on $240 million dollars. So, uh, yes, 1000's are very real.

My father (years ago) told me he visited this same plant. After going through all the necessary security (again, very tight) he happens to notice the loading bay doors WIDE OPEN . So much for security!

When my dad bought a new car with cash he let me put them in my wallet. I had 37,000.00 in my wallet, lets hope that is not the only time!

My dad had some on a weekly basis when he went to buy stuff for the business, but was careful not to have them exposed. It's like a thug magnet

Only time i saw one was back in grade 3 on a field trip to a bank. My dad was there as one of those parents that come along, and use to work at a bank. After the 1000$ bill was passed around, he told me it was a fake. So i have yet to see a real 1000$ bill

didnt like having them, when me and my dad used to buy stuffs with it the cashiers starts going "uh, let me go talk to my manager" all the time

nevermind a $1000 bill.. you get that kinda crap with $50 bills now because of all the counterfeit stuff thats going around...let me buy my happy meal in peace dammit!!! lol

you cant blame them. Some women went to a mcdonalds with a counterfit $200 bill with bushs face on it and ordered a 5 dollar burger, she walked out with $195 dollar change because the guy at the cashregister was a moron.

the 1000$ bill is cool, lots of your dads used them to pay cash for cars, but my dad who knew his salesperson very well paid the last 2000 of his car in loonies back in 1990 as a joke..I have a pic of him holding up a huge bag of loonies buying a benz LOL

i read about that....and the otherside has a pic of the whitehouse with a sign on the front lawn saying "the usa deserves tax breaks" or something along those lines....hilarious...

i found a picture of what the $200 bill looks like that got passed at the mcdonalds LOL...you would think when you see all those signs on the whitehouse lawn... youd realize its a fake bill

and the serial# DUBYA4U2001...
