    Default MD's and Computers

    can anyone inform me, as to weather there is such a thing as a MD drive for a computer?

    I though I saw one the other day, but wasnt sure

    can anyone confirm deny this

    Yes they have them, Sony makes one (model MDH-10) but you can't use it to copy music to it as audio mode is read only. If you're using it for data, its probably cheaper/faster to use something like a zip drive.

    It is however, good for using on TV and movies, since the discs still look cooler and more 'hi-tech'.

    oh okay yeah i found some info for it on Google
    retail is $746 us and uses special MD disk not for audio playback like you say

    Like in the Matrix. They used MD's for training programs .

    I think you're right. I got confused with the disc that was sold like drugs at the beginning, those are MD's. One's MD anyways!

    MO's are like DVD ram discs. however its the size of an MD

    it came out after ZIP drives came out. it was small, compact and had a little more memory capacity compared to a CD.
    however the DVD ram discs had larger memory, can transfer any type of files and was more popular so MO discs/drives only had a short amount of fame.
