I am looking for a Chevy/ GMC truck forum, The truck is a 01 1500 HD. What i wanna know or find is step by step direction on how to disable the automatic headlights so that i can use just the swich and they don't come on when its dark. There is a little sencor on the dash board, and when it reads that there is little light outside it automaticly turns on the headlights. Any help would be GREAT! The truck came with a set up so that the when the highbeams are turned on the lowbeams stay on as well.

Hey man, try this site out, they got stuff on like every car made pretty much... ive found it usefull for tips and stuff for my yukon..

The easiest way to do this is to order a new headlight switch from a U.S. dealer.
The Canadian switches are built so they can't be turned to the "off" position,whereas the American ones can.
