    Default opinion on civil engineering technology

    i just got accept in the program and if any one in this forum is currently in the program or graduate from the program and wondering what i can expect....like any diffcult class,any fun activites,is the program worth going into or should i apply for another type of engineering program at NAIT.(and if you can staring salary)

    well startin saleries for civies are on the higher side(in comparison to ther engG streams) but then again there is not as much room for growth, as lets say in the petrolrum industry...and as a civi most of the jobs u will come across are gov't jobs....so it really depends on what u like doin

    my cousin graduated from the same program at NAIT, he got in with the city of edmonton and is starting off at around 50 which is pretty good, although there is room for salary increase but from what i remember him saying it caps out at 80...with the city anyway, if you get on with a private company youll have alot more room for advancement, i know he really liked it though and recomended me to take it
