I rode my decent bike from about april to october as my sole means of transportation. I insure a car from october to may or so. I ride my beater bike year round whenever the roads and weather permits.
I'll probably go for a ride tonight, it's supposed to be +4 or +5 after work, and as long as I stay off the side roads which can still be really icy in spots, I'll be ok.
