    Default Sulphur smell

Yup, coming out of the exhaust on the SE-R

It has nearly 90K and I don't think the O2 sensor has ever been replaced. Is this the culprit, or is something more serious wrong with the cat or other emissions control? Check engine light comes on and stays solid.

My fathers 87 TA had a cat replaced at the dealer after it was stolen, and she STUNK like sulphur for a couple months.
I never really found out why the stench is there, but that experience kinda rules out the cat being plugged as the reason for the smell.....

    clogged cat....something to check anyways...

Just get rid of the cat, put in a test pipe.

Putting in a test pipe isn't the solution to everything. On most modern cars, the cat is not the restriction it used to be.

And the cat doesn't have to be clogged, like anything else they can fail all on their own, usually resulting in a constant rotten egg smell. If it only happens when the motor is under heavy load and goes away after a little while thats normal and nothing to worry about.
