Maybe so that you get a feel for how things go, and prove that your actually a legitimate member of beyond, not one of the countless people that come on, and try selling one thing (and 99% of the time it turns out to be a scam)

i think beyond has recently seen a spate of spamming hit the forum site, so i think the mods were smart 2 do this, cuz if one person outta the entire site falls for one of those post scamzz...then its all over
