    Seriously?

I wrote my Mcdonalds resignation on the back of a tray liner with a black marker. Here is what I wrote:

    To whom this may concern:

(insert date here) will be my last day.

don't say anything, just stop showing up for work, they'll figure it out soon enough.

    To Whom It May Concern,

Please accept this writing as my (X) day notice of resignation.

    Sincerely,

    ..............

This is all you need. I just said 2 weeks when I quit my first job .. otherwise I just spoke to management and said I have a new gig, this is when I start .. thx .. but those were dinky jobs .. since then I just got fired so it made it easy ...

Are you giving it to Rick?

    To whom it may conern,

It is with regret that I am informing you of my decision to terminate employment with your company effective (insert date here). I have accepted an offer with another company that will more adequately further my career aspirations and goals. It has been a pleasure working with all the staff here at 419 (except there's no way that's possible LOL) and I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience here (BAHAHA)

    Sincerely,

    HTN SWTCHS

Canadian Tire dealers are notoriously bad for holding cheques when someone leaves in this manner. As much as you hate the place (and I really understand), don't burn all your bridges man.

No, you're right, it is, however if stops coming in before his last paycheque is issued don't think they'll rush right out to throw it and any vac pay he has left in the mail. They'll hold it saying oh, it's not done yet, it'll be done soon..yada yada until he gets fed up and starts making demands after coming in 2 or 3 times. It's not illegal to say the cheques not done yet.

    I would use this one.

    To Whom It May Concern:

Remember how you work here and how <insert co-worker's name> works here, and how I USE TO work here...

    I QUIT!

    Sincerely Yours,

    Ed the SOHC

This also works for employers trying to fire an employee.

As far as I know they have to produce your last cheque within a certain amount of time.
