Thumbs down I dint pass tech @ race city secret street :(

4gen preludes have radiators that have plastic tops and bottoms ... the radiator top where the main coolant line goes in , to the right of it theres a hairline crack .. this slowly slowly seeps coolant.

I tried patching it with JB weld, dint work - I never let it sit long enough - so i said fuckit for now (which was a year ago)... well ... the accumulated pools of coolant atop my rad fan bracket led me unable to pass tech.

No fault to them, my fault entirely I should have been more thorogh ... so im gonna get the dremel and try again.

fuck it was nuts though, so many cars.

Have you considered getting a new rad? I really cannot see it being much money.

    No tonight wasnt first night.

For the Rad thing, yah dude a new factory rad won't be too expensive, and you can rely on it more then you can on JB weld. Although if you do, I dont know how long you have to let it sit for but I would do it on Saturday or friday night, get a lift from your buddies, and don't touch until Monday, take Sunday off and just chillax at home or clean the car or something

A radiator shop can also order just the plastic tank and can replace it on your existing rad. This is the cheapest route, and works well if your rad is in good shape other than the cracked tank.

crazy glue will fix any rad leak. I had a rock hit my BRAND NEW RAD in my mustang, and when I say new I mean 48 hours old.... the rock went thru the little opening between the two fog lights and actually put a hole in my rad...

I took the rad out, washed it off (make sure you get all the coolant off) and used crazy glue to patch the hole. It's the third time i've done this and in 3 years it hasnt opened back up. I've been to race city many times and rev'd it hard many many times and it's never leaked since....

Just make sure you do a couple layers of glue, it will hold forever.

Just make sure your low coolant light or buzzer works if your patching it up..

I check on my coolant once in a while, she's good to go.

JB weld says it needs 24hours to cure. I'm going to do it Sunday night and not fire her up until Wednesday.

I'm going to use my dremel to rough up the surface so that it sticks.

Nice idea with the plastic top, but I think there are generic all metal rad's that I can get that are ~ $150 ... ill do that if jb weld wont hold again.

Thanks for the advice and support guys!
