HUGE accident outside my block...

Trying to figure out what the hell happened in Edgemont today. I saw blood and lots of it, I think a bus ran over a pedestrian
WHOLE road was blocked off just outside my block.... FAWK. Lots of police, a few busses sprawled all over the road, cars everywhere detouring....

Dunno. I only saw the fire trucks at the Edgebrook fire on the way to work at 6:30am.

I think there was the fire, and then an accident...
My neighbour pretty much backs onto the house that was on fire....

The news just said a man received some facial burns and the rest of the family got out safely. Started with a faulty block heater cord, apparently.

Yea I read it on Citybeat. Faulty block heater cord. Car was in garage, car lit garage on fire. Fire leveled house caused $300000 worth of damage...

Strange because I was thinking of the exact same thing two nights ago. I was thinking of plugging my car in, then I remembered a story last year or two years ago when someone's faulty block heater cord, in the garage, caught on fire, and burned the house down. I think it was in the south but I don't remember.

It stuck in my mind because I kept thinking, why would you need a block heater if its in the garage? Even if its not a heated garage, it shouldn't be that bad...
