Default What car would you buy if....

Let's say you see this nice honda with about 110000km on it going for like $8000.

Would you buy that car or another car, which is the same car but the only differences are that this one has like 50000-60000km more on it. but it's like $1000-2000 less.

Give me some solutions like ex. "I would buy the cheaper one if it were 40000km more and $1000 cheaper" ro something. I'm having a tough time choosing.
    I'm going to buy a 89 camaro.

it all depends on what year the car is. But I would go with the $8000 mainly because it has alot les kms on it.

Just go with the cheaper one. You can always sell the car, or do a swap if you really like it. Besides, one of my aunt's friends has an 84 Prelude (I think) that is her winter beater and has 410,000+ km's on it and still works. My friend at school has a 91 accord ex-r that has 309,XXX with still 80% compression (I am pretty sure that's what he said).

well I am plannig on a swap.... but other things start going wrong too.... like suspension peices and stuff. we're comparing a 1997 civic. one has 112000 the other could be like 150000 or more.

To me it doesn't really make a difference. I drive my car a lot, so I usually see the km's really add up. Saving a couple g's in the beginning is great since either way, by the time it comes to sell, either car will have high clicks if you decide on keeping it for a while.

If ur like some ppl who dont rack up the clicks, go for the lower one since it wont depreciate so much.

60 000 clicks is alot..ide rather pay the extra grand or 2..unless the car with more clicks is newer..then ide take the newer car

I would pay $2k more for 60,000 less. But I would like to know what model and year the cars in question are.

I've a 95 Accord EX wagon, 160,000 km. I honestly think it can do another 160,000. But I maintain the car meticulously, and follow all the recommended service intervals. Not everyone does. You might want to compare service histories.

Also, certain models have some expensive maintenance at certain intervals. For example, 95 Accord service schedule requires a timing belt change ever 96,000 km. Since the front of the engine is open, it's often advised to get the water pump done too. The total bill including oil, tune-up, plugs, and valve adjustment can be over $400. You might consider getting the car with fewer KM in this case, or, getting the one if it's just had this service.

it depends which car has been looked after better. interior, engine bay, oil color, dings dents rust? all of those have to be taken into consideration.
