    Default slowing server/ connection??

I have just noticed today some really slow response. Just thought i would let some one know.

P.S. tell kenny to get out of the server room with that bowl of pho! Kenny may love it but i am pretty sure servers do not!

    keep up the good work

Hey... there is only no smoking allowed in the server room, pho consumption is allowed, and even encouraged! As for the slowdowns, it happens periodically and upgrades are on the way for the forums server--it also doesn't help that it is also the company UT server

The CPU and memory isn't anywhere near maxed. mySQL peaked at about 20%. When the UT server runs, it uses 100% CPU and slows things down.

The root cause though is an outdated version of PHP (I think anyways) which causes some problems which puts a bunch of requests in a queue. Stopping and Restarting IIS helps the problem. Either that or mySQL hangs once in a while. redec's volunteered to begin porting to MSSQL, that should help speeds tremendously.

I haven't experienced any slowdowns at all today. I've been on since I got to work =).

Memory usage is quite high on that server last time I looked, its only got 256MB in it. More memory can never hurt especially on a windows based OS.
