hey man, it's the premier in photo/image/graphics editing and design. the program is worth it... it's the basic tool that you need before u can move onto things like 3DSMAX or lightwave.... and plus alot of developement time went into creating photoshop getting it to do what it does. if u want something cheap go use paint or somethingOriginally posted by Shoobs

It is the only photo editing program worth buying as far as I am concerned. Paint Shop Pro 7 isnt bad at all, but the real hardcore people in graphics use Photoshop. It just has all the qwerks built into one.
crxboi, you into 3dsm or lightwave? I found Lightwave a little tricky to get used to. 3d studio max on the other hand is amazing. You see a lot of companies now a days (Movie/Game/Graphic) use Lightwave to achieve realistic results for faces and cool cut scenes. I just found it a little hard to get used to after using 3dsm. So many different tools, terms and other stuff that I didnt understand
