Vtec Spool Solinoid Valve

ok i did a motor swap d16z6 to a d16z6, same thing and at first my car was running on one cylinder, i changed the timing alittle and them it ran but the rpms were jumping from 1000 to 3000 rpms. i figured that the iacv had a hose disconnected, so i fixed that and now the vtec wont kick in, im reading ecu code 21 which is the spool solinoid. and i changed the solinod and it still dont work! how do i fix this, and has anyone had the same problem, if so i could use the help. Oh i drive a 95 del sol with a d16z6 all stock with a p28 ecu.

check the ground wire off the vtec solenoid, that needs to be grounded well or it wont work

spool solenoid? HAHA so therefore VTEC=Turbo

dude, thats what it's called...has nothing to do with turbo....

Its a direct circuit from the Vtec solenoid to the ECU. With the ECU plug A removed and the vehicle off, Check for ground continuity between pin A4 and Batt 12v+. If no continuity exists, find the wire fault or run a new wire to the solenoid and pin A4.
