If you're in a good enough vacation spot, you'll barely be spending any time in the room anyways. Just for crashing in.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Similarly, if you buy a domestic, you'll be spending more time under the hood than in the car anyways.
For us, it's got to be the complete package. If the room sucks, it takes away from the vacation if you are dealing with a bunch of little things. When I'm on vacation, I want it to be stress-free and to give myself a mental break - that means having a nice room. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

it is now "meh", lol.
Basically it's the 1/2 moon speedo that took me back in time. And you can't use photos. I was fooled by them as well which is why I gave CTS-V a try and that's overhead console plastic is exactly the same grade of of that 90s GM product. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Why do the handbags I like all cost $500? Also, I won't own a handbag without LV design. At least 50% of beyond are fashion over function people.

I think there are more important things to spend money on than the plastic that covers the sunglass holder. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
End of the day, alot of the 90k cars we are talking about are 30k cars with more money in the places that matter. Works for me.

I think if more sporty cars came out with a stripped down "enthusiast edition" like the 370Z, there would be a market for that. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Sales numbers seem to tell a different story. I don't think they were discounting them $20K because they were widely known as better than the Germans - that's the first I have ever heard someone say that. Performance is similar no doubt, but build quality is miles away from something like a C63 or RS5. I almost leased an ATS when they were $299/mo and I think it still had a foot pedal E-brake lol. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Also I think I'd rather have the 90's Malibu center stack controls than the CUE nightmare haha.
I was just surprised at the used prices - I wonder if people are actually buying them for that who don't know what they were selling for new. Maybe it's a "collectors" item now because they don't make them anymore.
There's a 2017 ATS-V for sale for $49,900 with 31,000 KM. C63's from the same vintage and KM are still in the $75,000 range. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I thought they were discounted because that's what domestics do? They overprice their vehicles by $20g, a few suckers buy them at that price, and then they "discount" them. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Looking at the truck market is proof of that. Anyone who pays anywhere close to sticker price on a fully loaded 1/2 ton or any 3/4 ton is an idiot.
Every Caddy depreciates extremely fast. That has been the norm for them for 10+ yearsThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Sometimes yeah - buying an American truck is like buying a mattress haha - massive discounts are just the norm and there's only a handful of fools who pay full price. In my experience, that has not been the case with many other American vehicles or even other Cadillacs when shopping. They have promotions and such but I didn't see any discounts as big as they had on the "V"series. The truck market seems to be the only one where a ~20% discount off MSRP is often a starting point for negotiations, to my knowledge anyway. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. I agree. 90_Shelby seems to think otherwise, hence why I went to check to see if I was missing something but it does not appear so. Couldn't find any same year M5 / E63 to compare to the CTS-V, but the Germans are a solid $20K above used ATS-V pricing. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Isn't that why GM almost went bankrupt several years ago? Nobody bought out their leases because GM inflated the residuals to not make their cars of the time look so bad and had to buy back every car way above market price.
