So, lots of fancy drinks require simple syrup. I know you can make it yourself, but I use so little, it goes bad before I use it up. Can you buy some from a store that has all sorts of nasty preservatives in it? I want that.

Get 2 of these. One for simple syrup and one for lime juice.
Not sure how long you are hoping the syrup to last. Tends to last awhile in this.
The lime juice you squeeze does go bad so I suggest only for binge occasions to make a batch of that.
lol do not buy simple syrup.
get a 1 litre deli container (those clear plastic ones you get wonton soup takeout in) and fill it with sugar, dump that in a pot and then chuck an equal amount of water in. Bring to just before a boil, while stirring.
Let it cool, put it back in the deli, and it'll last you 4+ weeks. If you make RICH simple syrup, (2 parts sugar to 1 water) it will last 6 months in the fridge.
You can also try using demerara sugar for a nice rich old fashioned, or stir fruit or herbs into the plain simple as it's cooking down for flavoured syrups.
Stupid easy, don't buy.
DOES ANYONE NEED A GO-JUICE?
I probably only need simple syrup once every few months. 6 months shelf life (in the fridge) is what I need.

make a rich syrup (2:1).
also, make more cocktails.

Add it to everything. Always have a squeeze bottle in the fridge, just use it in cooking vs other sweeteners due to convenience (and to use it up) also doesn’t need to be a cocktail, soda steam + squirt of citrus + splash of syrup is a good time
Lol, agreed who buys water and sugar...
Might as well buy banff compressed air then too...
ExtraSlow has the patience to grow basil and herbs but can't fathom his own simple syrup.
I propose the very basic of economy exchange... I'll make the syrup.
White gold, texas tea... sweetener

It is because Phil's wearing a suit now? Do you feel left behind? Should I go back to shirtless mullet Phil? I'll do it if it means we can stay friends. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Wrist warmers for all the cocktail shaking?
I remember a hilarious man once yelling at the radio (which was playing Don Henley). He shouted "shut up and get back behind the drums, Don!!"
There was much laughter. That's it. That's all.
