My wife and brother both received calls to their personal phones today from the Alberta NDP asking for support.
Neither have supported or contacted the government or the NDP. What's going on here?

I got an unsolicited text. Perhaps it’s a rogue strategy to make everyone more pissed with the ndp?

My wife got a text as well asking for support and if you agree with the Ndp tact on the pipeline subject. Your info on the petition site goes to the BC government. No thanks and I don't think a petition has any use whatsoever, about as persuasive as the social license we apparently are purchasing.
Too loud for Aspen
I let the lady talk for a minute, then she asked my what was my biggest concern and she gave a few options. I told her my biggest concern was the NDP ruining this province. Told her I can't wait till next spring to throw them out. She was apologetic which was hillarious

I got the call too which was strange. I wonder if they ended up hiring the company who has done the conservative party calls, or they bought a caller list from them.
There are both rep and online stoplights. I don’t think you can see rep on the mobile version. Have to go to full site. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Just got the text
I received the same text and was going to reply with a photo of a guy spreading his asshole wide open, but wasn’t sure if that would get me in trouble. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

If anyone works for NDP, they have lost a vote on these calls and texts.
Now I wonder if this is not from NDP but from UCP or one of those PACs.

People often wonder the same thing when it comes to telemarketers. All they do is use an auto dialer. They enter the area code and the first three digits, then allow the auto dialer to sequentially dial the last four digits. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Not that I'm saying the NDP did that.
It would also be possible for a political party who is exempt from the do-not-call list rules to use that list as a list of verified phone numbers. Not saying they do this, but they sure could.

In playing the devil's advocate, how else is the gubment elite going to know the wants of us peasants? Oh sure, they can have have a vague and biased questionnaire on their website, and as such, just about nobody participates in.
EXCEPT:
If you take their so called empathy and logic to the fullest extent, then they should be promoting provincial direct democracy.
