Will they take my license?

I got a speeding ticket sunday. 72 in a 45. Ive only had my license for about 2 weeks and im 16 years old. i live in the state of new york. does any one know the consequences or will know if i will get my license taken away until i am 18. please help

don't wanna be a di.ck, but if you just got your license dude like 2 weeks ago ANd your 16 you should be following ALL speed limits, rules, etc. for at least 6 months i'd say to be safe man...and im taking 72 is mph as your in the US?

buddy u deserve to get ur license taken away... uve had it for 2 weeks and ur 16, getting a ticket for 27mph over the limit just shows the cops what kind of idiotic driver ur gonna be in a few years. i hope they take ur license away cuz its people like u that can kill me or someone i care about. people like u dont belong in cars u belong on a BMX. grow up buddy...

Are you kidding me? I may not have been the best driver on the roads (no inexperienced drivers are), but I was fairly paranoid about getting pulled over, that's for sure. I knew that if I got nailed for doing something stupid, the consequences would be huge! And not just from the police, my parents would have kicked my ass! It's just common sense that you don't do stupid things like that. Speeding 15 over in a 110 zone is one thing, doing 35 over in a 70 zone is something completely different.

Hell, I was doing 285 in an 80 zone.

But I didn't get a ticket, so I guess it's ok.
