Default can't push brake piston back!

I am doing Focus ZTS rear brake pad replacement.

I have to rotate the piston while push it back to make some space for new pads..
(cuz it's related to E brake cable,,,)

so I tried to rotate it clock/counter clock wise,,

and realized rotating "clock" wise make the piston pushed in.

    but something's wrong,,,

It's not fully pushed in,,, and now I can't close the caliper,,

cuz there is not enough space even for the old pads now !!

tried to rotate the piston but it's not working..

it turns but not moves back .. it just keep turns...

anybody know what is wrong ?
if u got any experience on changing rear disk brake pads.. please give me some ideas...

did you remove the cap to the Master Cylinder??...there just might be too much pressure in the lines for the piston to move back in...

Remove the cap if you haven't and it SHOULD then go back in with ease.

yeah, remove the cap and turn the piston as if you're "tightening" it and it should go back in. the threads are quite fine so it might feel like nothing it happeneing, but it is.

Big channel lock pliers, or a big C clamp to push that piston back in

I use a hand squeeze style "quick grip" clamp. Works great. Easily forces the piston back into place so the pads fit nicely. Works on all my cars, front and rear disc brakes...

Always watch your brake fluid level to make sure it doesn't overflow out of the cylinder. Can be a messy bitch to clean up and paint doesn't like having brake fluid on it.

most rear disk calipers have the rear piston threaded in, rather than placed in. thats why the fronts can be squeezed back into the cylinder, and rears generally can not. You need to spin the piston back into the cylinder. lefty loosy, righty tighty.

do this while tightening slowly, infact, it would be even easier if you just put the clamp directly onto the piston instead of how the pic shows you to clamp the pad, it should work if u throw it in gear and take ur ebrake off?

never knew the backs twist in either

did you screw it in all the way? i usually use a large prybar with a flat head and screw it all the way back into the caliper body.
