<looking thru all garbage bin on this floor.......>
Greedy people, just split it.
Tell Tim Hortons to give them cash instead and let them split it. Or they can sell the Rav4 themselves. But if I was the 10 year old girl, I'd tell my "friend" to fuck off. lol

i agree with this. split the prize
meh, its nothing new. Something like is meant to happen. People are greedy by nature
Well, the 10-year old is the one that found the cup, so I think the prize should be hers. But at the same time, if I was in her shoes, I think selling the Rav and then splitting the money would be the right thing to do. But legally, I think the 10-year old could take it, sell it, and keep all the money if she wanted to, just comes down to morals I guess.
i agree i can't believe the mother of the 12 yr old wants to claim the prize for herself though. wowOriginally posted by big_k

WTF, a 10 year old girl can't roll up a rim. Is she a lobster baby?
yeesh, the 12 year old wasnt the one doing the dumpster diving.. the 10 year old did..
All the 12 year old did was roll it up.. duhr..
I'm sure there is something in the fine print that will void it.
Just wait and the shmuck who threw the cup away in the first place will want to get in on the action
Society blows
lol wow what a lucky day pick through the garbage and you win a new car?
they should split it.
but technically the 10 year should get it
Whoesever family has the biggest and best lawyer will win it
The first one should get it according to me. She was the one who found it actually in the first place.
HA HA HA!!!
"Fuck you, my daughter found it!!"
"OH YEAH? Well my daughter rolled up the rim bitch!"
"Daddy.... why did you call Sally's Mommy a bitch?"
"Jesus, shut up! I'm fucking busy here!"
You would think maturity would step in, and $15k each would be enough
good one...i still do not get where the mother of the 12 yr old gets the notion that she is entitled to the prize?Originally posted by ninjak84

well, if there friendship isnt already over i would say the 10 yr old should get all the money (by law)...since when did helping somebody win something make you the winner? Now, if that were my parents the money would be split, no questions asked!
If that was me I would also split the money... some parents are just fuckin money hungry pigs and will do ANYTHING to make a buck. in a way i feel sorry for the kids because they are learning that acting like this is OK because mommy and daddy do it...
green never looks good on anyone, its found money who cares who get how much, both parties will still be better off.
