not me, a buddy called me and asked if i had a flashlight or anything to keep warm, after thinking for 5 mins, everything involved electricity, electric blankets, heaters, maybe run some extension cords off the neighbors plug outside?

I've had it happen to me before. I switched to online banking, typed the info wrong, and ended up paying someone else's bills.

You have to call in to enmax when they're open (billing's open real late), pay the bill or prove u paid the wrong account, print out bills, fax it, then they'll turn it back on with a reconnection charge and a $500 deposit. Cost me like $700 to turn it back on before they settled everything properly.

Also, once u prove/pay your bill, it takes about 3 days for someone to come out. I had to throw away all my food in the house cuz it got ruined in the fridge and it stunk. That and it was summer and no air conditioning, the house was NASTY. Took a good week to get everything right.

I was out of the country for a week when it happened to me. Whole house smelled like death

For warmth, sleeping bags with multiple people in them... also a number of candles will help keep warm. Think regenetation

doesnt have one, too expensive, probably tomorow night, it turned out that the electric company came and was f-ing with something in the backyard, then the stove suddenly stops working, changed the fuses, breakers, still pooched, then tonight the power went, i guess they put some sort of limiter or something, can they do that?? why get cut in the middle of the month

Yeah the limiter is a thing they do as a favor to you, it allows you to run a fridge and a freezer, but not much else, mostly so you don't have to throw everything out and what not, and can still eat. Once I went away for a couple weeks, never saw a bill come, well they came a few days after I got home and put a limiter on, I explained what happened and they came and took it off without charging me a re-connection fee the next day.

In short, the limiter is a good thing in terms of not paying your bill. Better then getting 0 electricity.
