Red face cut - weld - grind - fill - paint

Ahhhhhhh. I just spent all day doing body work on my datsun. The rear 1/4 panel was totaled from a rallying accident. It has been a long day. but productive. first i got out the porta power and pumped the main structural pieces into place. That was easy, then i cut out all the crapped panel and the rust that accompanied it. That was a big job but it made it seem like alot was getting done, then an hour looking for a big sheet of sheet metal, then more cutting, some templating and more cuting then finally some tack welding. THEN, more cutting and some forming and more welding. many burns later (damn little molten balls burn like a biatch). Then stitch welds and its looking good. thats all for now..... be back later. Anybody have any questions feel free to ask.

Glad to hear the car is coming back together nicely. Is it gonna be ready for Rocky or Bighorn?

update: well some urathane and more welding and grinding, and the panel looks half decent. Then a shit load of bondo and putty to get the think looking flat, (actually not that much, but a bit) and then paint. its too bad that the white is a bit different color, but i dont care. The car looks 110% better. Then a few hours in getting the rear end back in, and im ready to rally!!!!!
