    Default transmission issues

well i'll explain my issue as best as i can.

so i started up my car afterwork, let it warm up for a few mins, then when i went to put it into reverse it was really tricky to do, keep in mind it has never done this before. so i tried all the other gears and they were also very very hard to engage. but yet the clutch still grabs very hard.(clutch only has 5500kms on it) when i was drving home the more i had to either shift up or down it eventually changed gears alot more easily.

so my question is...would either my transmission fluid be low or possibly due for a change?

personally i think the fluid may need to be changed.

but can anyone point me in the right direction

    ps i drive a 1989 240sx.
It is frustratingly reliable, truly the cockroach of automobiles.

I would start by changing the fluid asap and then see what that does.
