Going camping want to find out if we're allowed to have campfires at this point? Any help would be nice. Just a site where I can look it up.

It depends where your going, some places might have restrictions some not. Google where your going and a number should come up of who to call.

is there a site like that for bc. I tried googling but all I am finding are fire bans from like 2003 and information such as wildfire statistics haha. I need to know if I can actually have a camp fire where i am going. We're going in the Invermere, Cranston area to visit some of my family. But we are camping though.
Are you staying in BC provincial parks? If you had the names of the place's your staying it would make it alot easier to find fire bans.Originally posted by ekguy

That is not the most up to date information.
War is Peace. Freedom is Slavery. Ignorance is Strength.
Is your girlfriend going with you?
nothing to do with the topic at hand. I have a site reserved for the whole weekend versus just saturday night and no fire bans as far as they know so I'm all good. Going to to Creston, Cranbrook (where my cousin lives), Invermere, Radium and Fairmont Hot Springs this weekend. Gonna be nice to get out of the city for the weekend.
well we went to Creston for the weekend. Visited Creston and then went up to Ainsworth for a nice dip in the caves and hot springs. Then on the way back we went and reserved a camp site near Invermere for a few weekends from now, we then went to the Lake Side pub for a few cold brews and then went in the Natural hot springs in Fairmont, then we stopped at Radium almost until closing. So got to swim in 3 hot springs during the weekend, had a hell of alot of camp fires since the camp ground sold wood cheap and by the wheelbarrow full. Small campground but best service I have ever had at a campsite so try it out if your out that way. Called Mountain View Resort in Creston.
