    Question ?Direct Energy and/or Enmax?

I am looking at maybe going with one supplier for both Gas and Electricity.

Currently Direct Energy does my gas and Enmax is Electricity and Water.

Is there any advantage to combining them? And what about the "Easy Max" option?

Correct me if I'm wrong but only Enmax does electricity and direct energy does gas.

Enmax does electricity, gas and water. I just made the switch to Enmax on a floating gas plan. Signed up for the fixed electricity last year. I figured I might as well make use of the $100 / year of 'Easymax credits' that you get when you have both gas and electricity with Enmax. I was on a regulated rate with Direct Energy and that sucked balls.

Go with the Enmax Easymax, fixed electricity rate and floating gas.

i just set up an account with enmax. so what i was told is you can only do electricity with enmax first. then you can apply for gas after 40 days of your contract.

The only option to get both on enmax is to pay one month prior with extra charges.

you might want to call both of them directly.

Enmax can provide gas, however they cannot setup new gas accounts. If you moved into a new place, they will get you to contact Direct Energy to start gas service, then you can transfer it back to Enmax.

Thats how it was explained to me, seemed a bit weird.

Yes Easymax is the way to go but you should see what the rates are. We are currently on a fixed rate for Electricity and floating rate for gas.

Whatever you do, if you run into the guys from Alberta Savings Energy Group, tell them to GTFO! These guys try to switch you under the premise that they are helping you save on administration costs by combining your bills. They show up in a duo and apply the pressure. I didn't know what was going on initially so I just told them I didn't have my utility bills so they left but they said they will be back. They made it sound like they were working on behalf of the government to ensure I'm paying the lowest rates and not get scammed by Enmax and Direct.
